Q: How do I upload my Web site?
Before uploading your files, make sure your "main" page is named default.htm or index.htm. Once your site is uploaded, you can view your site at http://www.yourdomain.com, once again substituting your domain name where it says yourdomain. Choose your desired method of file transfer:
Q: How do I use WebStats?
To use WebStats:
- Go to http://livestats.forbin.com
- Make sure you include "www" in your server domain name entry. Ex. www.yourdomain.com
- Type in your User Name
Type in your password
if you do not know your User Name or password you need to contact us.
- Login.
FrontPage 2000 Users
- Open FrontPage.
- Click on File, then on Open Web.
- By Folder name: type in http://www.yourdomain.com, substituting your domain name where it says "yourdomain".
- You will need to type your user name and password into the box that appears. Type forbinnt\username in the User name field, substituting your own Forbin user name where it says "username".
- Finished! You now have access to your web directory and will see a list of files and folders. To edit individual web files (.htm or .html) double-click on the appropriate file.
FTP Users
- Download a current version of any FTP software.
- If you don't have an application that will upload your site via FTP, you can get a free version of WS FTP Limited Edition here After you download and install the program, open it on your screen.
You will see the following window, and you enter the information given here:
- Profile Name: Type in your domain name.
- Host Name: Type in www.yourdomain.com, substituting the name of your domain where it says "yourdomain".
- Leave Host Type: as Automatic detect.
- Type in the User ID as: forbinnt\username, substituting your own username as "username".
- From there, find your site on the Local System, and click on the arrow to upload all the pages from your local site to your space on the server.
