Helping Bring the Client's Vision to Life: Amanda Morris

The VGM Forbin team was honored to announce Amanda Morris as the VGM Forbin Employee Spotlight for November 2022! Not only is Amanda our creative UX Designer, but she also helps in customer care while consistently going above in incremental ways. Daily, she brings the client’s vision to life as the UX Designer and we cannot thank her enough!

We interviewed Amanda and this is what she had to say:

1. How long have you been working at VGM Forbin?
   1 ½ years
2. What is your role at VGM Forbin?
   UX Designer/Customer Care
3. What's your favorite thing about your job?
   I love the culture, the family, the quirky customer requests and the satisfaction when you help them, and the diverse group of personalities and skills is incredible
4. An interesting fact you may not know about me:
   Working the morning of Black Friday at Toys R’ Us for three years in a row in the early 2000s is what nightmares are made of
5. Cats or dogs?
   Both – we have too many of each
6. Most importantly, if you were stranded on an island, what is one thing you would make sure to have on you?
   Fire – to cook, stay warm and be able to modify things
7. Lastly, what is your favorite quote?
   “I like people who begin by blurting out something overly personal. I like people who aren’t afraid to walk around with a stain on their shirt. I like people who ugly laugh at their own jokes. I like people who give compliments to strangers in the grocery store and make friends when they’re washing their hands in the bathroom. I like people who get passionate about ideas and excited about others’ success stories. I like people who live a little outside of the box, who march to the beat of their own drum, and who make it a mission to help those around them."

Secondly, she always considers my suggestions for content styling and design and reaches out to discuss ideas and how we can improve on said design. Thirdly, she has made great strides in her design and content styling skills. Lastly, she has a positive and friendly attitude that is always a great asset to the team!”

Mallory added, “Amanda has been an incredible asset to the VGM Forbin Team! A model team player, Amanda goes above and beyond what is asked of her (and even what is not asked of her)! She challenges herself and her team members to push further and is always available to help anyone who asks.”
